Summary: As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. Your typical day will involve monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations. You will also engage in planning and executing maintenance activities, ensuring that all systems are running optimally and in compliance with established protocols. Your role will require you to be proactive in identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to enhance system reliability and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Technical Experience Professional Attributes Educational Qualification: "• Plan and implement medium to high risk changes on high profile production Oracle systems • Analyze and assess the impact and risk of low to medium risk changes on high profile production databases. • Resolve difficult/complex incidents affecting the operation/availability of high profile production databases and Oracle apps instances. • Install, configure, patch and maintain Oracle RDBMS software. • Manage and support clustered databases - Like RAC (Single / Multi) • Manage and support various database backup strategies such as RMAN & Export /Import DB • Analyze system performance indicators and recommend improvement actions through OEM • Manage replication using DG & Oracle Goldel Gate • Monitor vendors’ release notes and plan necessary upgrades and patches as required • Perform lead technical role in disaster recovery tests • Create and review technical system recovery plans • Review the problem management register and identify and implement actions • Make pro-active suggestions for service improvements. • Should have working knowledge on cross DB platforms like AWS RDS, PostgreSQL & MYSQL • Exadata database Administration and database managed by EXACC • OID and OKV management" "• Database Administration - DB lifecycle management, Upgrade, Patching. • Backup & Restoration - RMAN / datapump • Database clone & active duplication. • Backup and restoration test from higher to lower environment(PROD to NON PROD) BnRT • Oracle Dataguard Management - Physical/Logical standby, Roll forwarding, switchover/failover, DG broker. • Exposure to ExaCC - OCI console management, dbaascli, patching etc. • Oracle clusterware/RAC Management - Srvctl, crsctl, SCAN, Service failover etc. • ASM(Storage) management - Diskgroup creation, extension. • Database performance Management - for system and optimizer enhancements. • OEM/Grid Control management - Monitoring configuration, plugin configuration target management etc. • Container database management • Pluggable database management • Database migration(cross platform) • Strong shell scripting skills to automate the manual tasks • OID Administration - Middleware, LDAP for TNS resolution, User Management. • OKV Administration - Endpoint creation/update, User management, Monitoring" "• Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect with customers at varying levels of the organization. • Ability to operate independently and make decisions with little direct supervision • Flexible to work in 24/7 shift • Must be a team player • Must have leadership quality to handle a Team. • Must be open to learn and and work on new technologies."
