Key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support in all financial and commercial matters related to the project. Each day, you will actively drive their respective project’s performance. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing project invoices and financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting) documents.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Entry and maintenance of order-related data in SAP in compliance with SOX requirements

  • Handling of possible order changes and maintenance of ongoing cost calculations

  • Commercial and contractual review of customer orders with regard to liability regulations, payment terms, Incoterms, etc.

  • Preparation of order confirmations after commercial and contractual clarification

  • Invoicing of customer orders in accordance with revenue recognition requirements

  • Preparation of down payment requests to customers in line with contractual agreements

  • Procurement of customer securities (e.g. guarantees/bonds)

  • Placement of order-related purchase orders with internal and external suppliers

  • Commercial review of order confirmations from supplying factories

  • Verification and approval of supplier invoices

  • Support in the preparation of claims against contractual partners (additional services, defects)

  • Monitoring of accounts receivable in cooperation with Project Management and Shared Accounting Services (SAS)

  • Clarification of project-related tax and logistics topics in cooperation with relevant departments

  • Monthly revenue planning for invoicing

  • Monitoring of order-related provisions and inventories

  • Follow-up and resolution of clarification cases and overdues

Qualifications for the role

  • Minimum of 3 years of higher commercial education

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience

  • Experience in the commercial handling of customer projects

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP

  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English and German; additional languages are an asset

  • Flexibility and an open mindset

  • Previous ABB experience is considered an advantage
