Position Summary: 

Leads Control processes, workflows and initiatives that support regulatory compliance in all Insolvency business strategies and processes. Supports PRA’s Compliance control monitoring and testing program. Utilizes experience to solve complex problems and execute business objectives. Provides guidance and training to QA/Control Team. Requires a strong understanding of operations processes, compliance requirements, internal and external systems and platforms, the ability to document results, report findings, communicate effectively, analyze processes, provide feedback, implement process improvements, resolve problems, and escalate issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the daily workflow and audit assignments of the QA/Control team. Reviews daily production and error trends for reporting purposes. Provides analytical insight on performance opportunities and ensures staff adheres to all associated tasks consistently.

  • Provides direction to Control personnel in the performance of their duties by delivering workflow changes, daily responsibilities, procedures, production, training and other operational communications.

  • Ensures that all monitoring and testing workbooks and documentation are prepared appropriately and timely.

  • Monitors efforts to resolve issues and tracks progress.

  • Adjusts resources and assignments to meet business needs.

  • Collaborates with the management team to support business objectives.

  • Conducts business training and progress reporting.

  • Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives and deadlines.

  • Provides encouragement to team members by communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.

  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.

  • Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company regulations and performance goals.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Leads Control processes, workflows and initiatives that support regulatory compliance in all Insolvency business strategies and processes.

  • Supervises audit assignments and workflow managed by the QA Team. Provides training, structure, and guidance in control operations.

Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, statistics, finance, or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting/financial/banking or related industry preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience performing quality assurance audits of compliance controls and business processes.

  • Demonstrated experience leading, supervising or managing financial services industry teams
  • Demonstrated understanding of operations processes, compliance requirements, internal and external systems and platforms, the ability to document results, report findings, communicate effectively, analyze processes, provide feedback, implement process improvements, resolve problems, and escalate issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences.

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to test, troubleshoot and resolve workflow impediments.

  • Proficient with latest versions of Windows OS, Microsoft Office products and networked environments Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.

  • Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations related to US insolvency, consumer credit and collections, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act and Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

  • Ability to interact confidently and effectively with supervisors and peers to lead and complete workflow initiatives.

  • Ability to manage and perform redundant tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.

  • Ability to perform required tasks with limited supervision.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers. The office environment is an open workspace with individual workstations. The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. This position is a sedentary position with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 11 pounds; requires frequent lifting of less than 1 pound; and may require standing less than or equal to 1/3 of the day.
