U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Software Engineer in Irving, Texas.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Lead Software Engineer will work closely with the team developing next generation products to solve business use cases for Domain Services, System Integrations and Digital Innovations; design and implement DIY use cases, rich UI interfaces, performant APIs for consumption by multiple applications teams across mobile, web and direct API integration experiences; perform analysis on failures, propose design changes and encourage operational improvements; build API solutions to match rapidly changing business line needs; utilize Microservices/API development and responsible web development using MVC frameworks; design APIs and apply applicable patterns across contexts/codebases; responsible for software artifacts be responsible for hiring, developing and leading a team of API engineers with a range of expertise; building API solutions that match rapidly changing business line need; designing APIs and applying applicable patterns across several contexts/codebases, in accordance to agreed best practices and standards; designing code that fits with the overall architecture; following Agile methodology; providing and taking feedback on software features; implementing optimal solutions and tailoring applications to customer needs; gathering requirements; analyzing and designing applications with various technical possibilities of achieving business requirements; testing and documentation; using Micro-Frontend architecture; driving the offshore team and the stand ups to make business requirements are completed; responsible for software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to customer experience; utilizing agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles; key accountability for the API development; creating layout using HTML5, CSS3, JSX, SCSS to get actual layout in applications and mobile responsive; building frontend components using REACT, REDUX, JSX, AEM (Adobe Experience Manager); and creating APP DYNAMICS Dashboard for checking on performance and errors in the production code. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Management plus 2 years of experience as a Software Developer or related. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology Management plus 5 years of experience as a Software Developer or related in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.
Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 2 years of experience with Master’s or 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s with the following: (a) using systematic debugging to diagnose all issues located to a single service; (b) designing wireframes, prototypes and reusable components; (c) using Micro-Frontend architecture; (d) developing reusable modules and components for the AEM which are used in whole organization applications; (e) using Data structures and Patterns for writing code; (f) configuring Jenkins Pipeline process to make the builds in various environments; and (g) utilizing the following tools and technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JSX, React, Redux, AEM, Spring Boot, App Dynamics, Jira, GIT, TFS, Adobe XD, SonarQube, Jest, Enzyme, SASS, TestCafe, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Rancher.
