The Job

As HelloFresh grows, so does our Finance team! We in Finance like to think of ourselves as allrounders. We not only look to be experts on all things accounting standards and what this means for the business, but we also aim to consult and add value on workflows and decision making throughout the entire business. As a Senior Accountant joining our growing and collaborative Finance team, you will be able to make an immediate impact, contributing to the Nordics accounting processes reporting to our Head of Accounting & Controlling - both day to day activities and looking ahead!

You will…

• Prepare and post month-end journals, including IFRS16, COGs, CapEx, and accruals
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare intercompany charges and reconciliations
• Work with broader departments (procurement, marketing, ops, etc) to ensure accurate data inputs which improve accounting judgements
• Lodge VAT returns and perform statistics reporting for multiple countries
• Liaise with group teams in Berlin to ensure best practices locally
• Participate in half-year and year-end audit
• Support in automation projects across the team
• Support the budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis process
• Support of continuous improvements and month end close process, tech/tool enhancements, and ad-hoc accounting projects

You have…

• Passion, motivation and effective communication skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent 
• A significant working knowledge of accounting concepts and standards
• 4+ years experience working in the finance industry
• Previous experience of working in a fast-paced business and a role which involved physical goods and inventory is advantageous
• An eye and appreciation for detail and an understanding of data structures and complex systems/workflows
• High proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets
• A keen interest in financial systems with exposure to an ERP system
• Fluency in the Danish language is desired.
