Lakeview Pet Hospital is actively looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate should be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, surgical recovery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, has knowledge of in-clinic laboratory equipment, understand the importance of client education, comfortable with proper animal handling and restraint, is a positive and supportive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing and Lakeview Pet Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. Hours of Operation: M-F 7:30AM-6:00PM, Sa 8:00AM-4:00pm. Weekends rotate. We are needing 35-40 hours of availability.

Requirements

  • 1+ years experience preferred
  • Understands the importance of client education and patient care
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Compassionate and caring toward our clients and their pets
  • Motivated to continue to learn new skills
  • Multi-task efficiently
  • Positive and supportive team player
