A day in the life.

As our Marketing Specialist on the National team, you’ll:

  • Maintain Relationships With Insurance Companies
  • Work with insurance companies to negotiate property placements for all large and complex property risks
  • Conduct and participate in quarterly update meetings to ensure proper activities are being performed to meet annual goals in conjunction with Producers, Account Service Teams, Marketing Teams and Clients
  • Keep team informed of carrier personnel, underwriting and appetite changes

  • Provide Marketing Support To National Account Team
  • Manage client renewal and marketing process on assigned clients and prospects, including negotiation of rates with carriers and presenting alternative options when appropriate.
  • Analyze renewal quotes and industry trends to make appropriate renewal recommendations
  • Participate in discussions on renewal strategy and gather renewal information from client.
  • Prepare and participate in presenting proposal to client and in team selling with other MMA disciplines.
  • Coordinate team meetings to discuss renewal marketing strategy with team. Include ES & MLG when necessary.
  • Conduct training of staff to educate and promote best-in-class property practices

  • Proactive Client Service:
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with assigned clients that have complex property needs through in-person visits, entertainment opportunities, telephone and electronic contact at multiple levels within client organization
  • Work with property clients to help them evaluate and quantify their property exposures
  • Review loss summary with client to pro-actively manage losses; involve Employer Services team as needed
  • Communicate and educate the client on changes within our industry and how they could impact their business

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years property experience including strong knowledge individual property and casualty coverage and risk management issues.
  • Must be detailed with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and high sense of urgency. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers.
  • Strong interpersonal and sales related skills in dealing with Producers, Account Executives, carriers and customers. 
  • Proficiency in MS office applications required.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • CIC, CPCU or equivalent preferred.
