What you will do

Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Engineering Change Coordinators, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes growth and professional development.
- Establish clear performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to provide constructive feedback and recognize achievements.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating knowledge sharing and innovative problem-solving within the team.

Document Control & Management:
- Oversee all aspects of document control, ensuring that engineering drawings, specifications, and related documentation are delivered accurately and on time to the manufacturing floor.
- Implement and enforce document management procedures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive archive of controlled documents, ensuring obsolete versions are systematically removed and that current documents are readily accessible.
- Respond to inquiries regarding document status and provide guidance on document management best practices.

Transition to PTC Systems & Change Management:
- Spearhead the effective utilization of Windchill PLM within the team to oversee the transition of engineering Bills of Materials (eBOMs) to manufacturing Bills of Materials (mBOMs).
- Manage the development, review, and approval of Factory Change Notices (FCNs) to ensure production continuity and compliance with product specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to align on product changes and implement effective change management processes.
- Develop and maintain Manufacturing Control Plans that detail Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), station codes, and routings to streamline production.

Operational Coordination:
- Oversee the operational support provided by the Engineering Change Coordinators, ensuring that document control, mBOM, FCN, and manufacturing process plans are executed efficiently and accurately.
- Serve as a point of contact for managers and staff regarding inquiries related to engineering changes, maintaining a strong customer service focus.

Strategic Collaboration and Process Improvement:
- Actively participate in strategy meetings and discussions to share insights and drive alignment across departments.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Facilitate training sessions for team members and manufacturing staff on new processes and system updates, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of changes.

What we look for

Required:
- A minimum of three years of experience in production, engineering, or manufacturing engineering, with demonstrated supervisory experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Proficient in PTC Windchill PLM and a comprehensive understanding of mBOMs, eBOMs, Production Control Plans, and routing processes
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PDF tools; familiarity with data management software is highly advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality outputs, particularly under tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information/Document Management, or a related field
- Extensive experience in creating and managing mBOMs and eBOMs, with a robust understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows
- Comprehensive knowledge of manual or electronic document control systems, emphasizing compliance and operational efficiency
