The Field Representative Development Program (FRDP) is a dynamic, rotational experience designed to build the business, technical, and relationship skills needed to partner with Caterpillar dealers and customers.
This program prepares you to become a trusted field leader—driving strategy alignment, customer loyalty, and sustainable growth.

Immersive Training (First 13 Weeks)
You’ll begin your journey with a 13-week, in-person training program in Peoria, Illinois, where you will:

Provides technical expertise to resolve customer challenges while supporting dealers and customers in the field.
Leads prime product (machine or engine) sales for a specific industry segment, with responsibility for dealer support, marketing, and overall sales performance.
Drives Caterpillar’s services growth strategy by increasing parts and service sales. Partners closely with dealers to expand aftermarket opportunities across RISST, CI, and E&T.
Supports dealer success by analyzing aftermarket operations and recommending strategies to improve service performance and profitability.
Helps dealers achieve rental operational excellence by conducting detailed assessments and providing targeted recommendations that directly impact rental performance and profitability.
Focuses on optimizing product support strategies and execution to enhance customer experience and dealer effectiveness.
Enables commercial success through data-driven insights, process optimization, and execution of marketing and sales initiatives.
Advances digital capabilities by supporting the implementation and adoption of digital tools, analytics, and connected solutions.

Summary Pay Range:
$81,370.00 - $169,060.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
