Ardent is seeking a Project Manager to join our team.  

This is an onsite position located in Tysons, VA. Remote work is subject to the discretion/needs of the customer.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager to lead federal government contracting projects. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring compliance with government regulations and contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a deep understanding of federal contracting, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • The Project Manager will lead development teams in close coordination with the Program Manager, ITPMs, and the Product Owners.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eight (8) or more years of relevant project management experience in an Enterprise software development environment, including experience in the application of methodologies related to software lifecycle management and agile.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification. • Experience with requirements tools and tracking such as JIRA.
  • Experience coordinating activities with multiple stakeholders including technical stakeholders well with others.
  • Experience defining all project activities and milestones required to meet objectives and deliverables, properly sequencing tasks and estimating effort with project team members doing the work, determining the critical path, and proposing alternatives to meet project schedules in coordination with other stakeholders.
  • Experience monitoring project execution to identify obstacles and deviations from the plan and take corrective action as needed.
  • Experience conducting continuous risk assessment and management including developing measures to reduce risk in project execution.
  • Experience developing metrics and reports for tracking project execution.
  • Proficient in the development of plans, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, communicating progress, resolving conflicts, and escalating issues.
  • Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation
