Site Reliability Engineer, GCC-Assurant

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will be part of the Assurant Reliability Team, specifically within the Site Reliability Engineering area. This remote position, based in India, focuses on building and maintaining reliable, scalable systems through a combination of software development and network diagnostics. The role requires a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to work independently in a distributed team environment

This position will be in Hyderabad/Bangalore/at our India location.

Work Timing is 3:30 PM IST – 12:30 AM IST

What are the requirements needed for this position?

Development

• Design, develop, and maintain tools and systems using one or more of the following programming languages: C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, or Node.js. 
• Use Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio Enterprise for development tasks. 
• Programming responsibilities will comprise 60–70% of the role and are considered the primary skillset.
• SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development experience is 
• Level 4 proficiency (0 poor – 4 Excellent) in software development. 
• NOTE: This is development in 3GL languages, NOT 4GLs or scripting languages.

Networking

• Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, with a strong understanding of network technologies and protocols. 
• Network responsibilities will comprise approximately 30% of the role.
• Level 3 proficiency (0 poor – 4 Excellent) in network engineering

Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance across production environments.
• English fluency at level 4 (excellent) scale

What are the skills/experience would be helpful to have?

Overall 5+ Years in SRE along with Network Engineer (L3) + Software Development (C#.NET/VB.NET/Python/Node.js)

Certification (In one or more of the following):

• Certification in one or more of the programming languages listed above (C#.NET, VB.NET, Python, Node.js), 
• Azure Solutions Architect (or any other equivalent Azure cert), 
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional (SA Pro), 
• Wireshark Certified Analyst (WCA) – Highly desirable
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),

Disaster Recovery

• Experience with disaster recovery planning and design is beneficial.
