Job Description:

Become part of the Applications team at Microchip building the framework for the next generation of embedded solutions. We are looking for an Entry Level motivated software engineer with skills ranging from software framework, productivity tool development down to embedded software stacks. The set of skills needed ranges from Java/Javascript application development to embedded C/C++ software development. We offer lots of opportunities for learning new skills, interacting with, and educating our customers, and being part of making our customers successful. This position will focus primarily on security solutions such as secure boot.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Essentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Excellent problem solving skill
Solid foundation in one of the programming/scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, C or C++
Good communication skill

Preferred:
Experience in making fundamental structural choices in designing software
Experience in using source control and agile software development
Experience working with Scrum

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304-$143,000.*
