Key responsibilities for this role include:
- While the engineer may have subject matter expertise in a particular area, the expectation and the business needs are such that the successful candidate will work across a number of areas - MES, Manufacturing, Validation, Automation, Quality, Process Systems and Projects. Appropriate training and work experience opportunities will be provided over time to allow for development of engineering skillset across the areas referred to above.
- Measuring, analysing and improving on Facilities Systems
- By specifying, designing and implementing Facilities Systems projects including a structured handover and post implementation support until Business Benefits realisation.
- Preparing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends, including Quality Deviations caused by both Facilities equipment or personnel.
- Delivering improvement initiatives across Facilities Systems
- Assuring product and process quality by testing Facilities system capabilities; establishing standards; confirming processes optimization.
- Specify, Design and implement Automation Systems where required.
- Providing Technical Training to a high level to all business areas and personnel
- Providing Qualification and Validation support.
- Promoting and implementing Safe Working in all work areas and projects.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
- Provide shift support across single, 2, 3 or 4 shifts to meet business needs
- The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical/Mechatronic/ Engineering graduate
- 3-5 years experience within the Pharma/Medical Device or related industries.
- Experience with Factory Talk suite, Rockwell Pharma suite, Cognex Insights/VisionPro, Kepware, Linkmaster, Wonderware, OPC Direct Access Data loggers, BACnet & PI_Data would be a distinct advantage.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Ability to share knowledge and facilitate learning across the engineering team.
- A track record of developing efficient, innovative and creative solutions to complex and challenging engineering problems, using established tools and frameworks.
- A motivated and flexible person who can formulate detailed plans and projects with minimum supervisory influence and manage them through to completion.
- Demonstrated strong team-working skills including the ability to work effectively across functions.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Experience of Dry Powder Inhalers, powder handing, component moulding and assembly would be advantageous.
- A working understanding of appropriate regulatory requirements, including 21 CFR Parts 210/211, ISPE/ICH Guidelines (including Quality by Design approach) and EudraLex would be an advantage
- Lean/Six sigma certification would also be advantageous
