A Day in the Life

The Program Manager, Quality Strategy plays a critical role in driving alignment, communication, and execution of quality initiatives across the organization and enterprise. This role combines strategic planning, operational excellence, and representation to ensure the quality organization meets its goals and delivers improvements to metrics, processes, and collaboration. The Program Manager will act as a trusted partner to leadership, fostering communication and driving progress on quality strategies.

This role is part of the Acute Care and Monitoring (ACM) organization, focusing on advancing quality processes and strategies to support innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes in acute care settings. The Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality excellence and alignment with enterprise-wide goals.

This is an onsite role that will sit at our Lafayette, CO campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment: Coordinate strategies for quality metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving alignment across the enterprise.
  • Representation: Represent the Quality group in cross-functional discussions, ensuring plans are established and executed effectively.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear communication within the quality organization and enterprise, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor progress on key initiatives, ensuring timely execution and tracking of deliverables.
  • Quality Expertise: Apply a deep understanding of the quality function to identify process improvements and support organizational decision-making.
  • Leadership Support: Partner with leadership to execute plans, foster collaboration, and drive organizational success.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.
  • Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and internal regulations to assure compliance.
  • Works directly with operating entities to provide process analyses oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet regulations.
  • Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits.
  • Prepares reports and/or necessary documentation (ex Corrective and Preventative Actions) and provides to applicable stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Co-ordinates legal requests in support of government investigations or litigations.
  • Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.
  • Facilitates uniform standards worldwide and enables best practice sharing, thereby fostering the achievement of company's mission globally.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience within the areas of quality, strategy, and program management within a regulated industry

Nice to Have:

  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, metrics, and organizational processes.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and strategic planning skills.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and represent leadership priorities effectively.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$119,200.00 - $178,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
