Why CampSite?

As a 100% remote company, we place a big emphasis on teamwork and collaboration and aim high with our goals and objectives.  We also like to have fun and have a number of events sprinkled into our schedules throughout the year, from an annual hike-a-thon in the Spring to our team-wide summits where we travel to places like Portland, Chicago and Whistler to collaborate, set goals and enjoy the IRL time together.

We offer flexibility and work-life balance while promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth with ample opportunities for professional development. Honesty and trust form the foundation of our company culture. We believe in transparent communication, fostering an environment where every team member feels heard, respected, and valued.

Role Overview

As a Market Development Representative (MDR), you will be crucial in driving growth by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities in the non-North American camp market. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the MDR role will involve engaging prospects through targeted cold outreach campaigns, driving engagement, and building valuable relationships. In addition, this role will conduct market research to explore new opportunities and understand their unique needs to help shape our go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on the non-North American camp industry to identify market trends, potential clients, and key decision-makers
  • Proactively source and qualify new business leads through various channels, including cold outreach campaigns, calls, emails, social media, and industry events.
  • Conduct discovery calls with prospective clients to understand their pain points and demonstrate how CampSite's solutions can address their needs.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with leads to nurture and advance the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the Account Executive team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads.
  • Identify and assess new market opportunities, including emerging segments, geographic regions, and untapped customer bases.
  • Provide product and marketing teams feedback on local market needs and potential product enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College
  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or market research, preferably in a SaaS company.
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
  • Camp experience in Europe or outside the United States is preferred.
  • Love solving problems and discovering opportunities to help people succeed
