This is a fully remote role to be based in Malaysia. We will prioritize candidates who are based in Malaysia and do not require a work visa sponsorship.

About the Job
We are looking to hire an in-house Paralegal to be based in Malaysia.
Working in an exciting, international, and fast-paced work environment, you will get the opportunity to enhance your legal skills and learn how a technology company in the consumer financial space operates. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong work ethic, good problem-solving skills and be a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.
The Paralegal will be responsible for:
- Assisting with legal and compliance matters affecting MoneyHero Group including:
- Preparing and reviewing standard legal commercial documents, handling routine legal work, contracts with suppliers, customers, contractors, sub-contractors
- Maintaining and updating standard contract templates, T&Cs and existing policies and procedures, and contributing to legal know-how and training materials
- Handle company secretarial work, drafting minutes and resolutions with minimum supervision
- Support senior lawyers to review NDA/mandates for business projects
- Liaising with teams in each of the MoneyHero Group brands to help with ad hoc legal and compliance queries across a range of areas (e.g. employment/HR, data protection, intellectual property (trademarks), consumer protection, insurance regulation, financial regulation, corporate governance)
- Liaising with external legal counsels and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions
- Organizing legal documents and dealing with requests for information from regulators, service providers (banks, auditors), investors etc.
In this role, we are looking for someone with:
- Good academic qualifications (hold an undergraduate law degree (e.g. LLB, BCL, LLM) and have good results)
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar legal support role (paralegal / legal executive either in private practice or in-house, preferably with experience in a digital marketing or fintech focused team)
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- Business level of fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team setting and autonomously
- Excellent contract management skills
- Interest in technology/fintech
