We are seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer with strong experience of mechanical design and with analytical/problem solving skills, to play a key role in the design and development of advanced multidisciplinary systems.

 

In this position, you will apply strong ownership, technical depth, and engineering rigor to translate requirements into robust mechanical solutions. Through analytical thinking and creative problem-solving, you will address complex technical challenges, define innovative solutions, and ensure precise and efficient execution throughout the development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable systems that meet program objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Development of a main subsystem in HP Indigo printing press. Translating customer and system requirements into structured engineering execution through product release, while maintaining alignment with overall program goals.

  • Design, develop and improve lab and manufacturing tools besides quantitative measurement methodologies.

  • Utilizing advanced 3D CAD modeling (e.g., Creo (advantage), SolidWorks) to create complex mechanical assemblies, components and simulations

  • Responsible for mechanical drawings and BOM management, Producing detailed engineering drawings with strict GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), technical reports, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).

  • Lead design reviews and technical discussions, clearly presenting engineering concepts, tolerance analysis, material selection, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Lead integration and qualification of complex mechanical system, ensuring effective synchronization between mechanical, electrical, software, and system elements.

  • Analyze field data and dedicated experiments involving multidisciplinary knowledge, build a lifespan model and extrapolate future research directions.

 

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering

  • 8–10 years of professional experience in mechanical design

  • Proven experience as an R&D engineer within a multidisciplinary organization

  • Experience integrating simulation and engineering analysis tools as part of the design process

  • Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and experience in manufacturing processes across machining, complex injection-molded plastics, continuous extrusions, and sheet metal fabrication.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Strong presentation and communication capabilities both in Hebrew and English
