Nature and Scope:
Under the direction of the Tennis Director, the Tennis Professional will provide tennis lessons to students of varying ages and skill sets. The Tennis Professional’s responsibilities include evaluating students’ performance, ensuring that all tennis equipment is in good working order, and educating students on tennis game strategies and good sportsmanship. You should also maintain a professional appearance at all times. The Tennis Professional should be knowledgeable of different coaching methods and able to perform first aid as needed. Ultimately, an outstanding Tennis Professional should be able to motivate students as well as demonstrate exceptional communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.

The effectiveness of this position is primarily measured by the stated satisfaction of members and ensuring a safe, clean, controlled and fun environment in accordance with the Metro Atlanta YMCA Sports Philosophy.
