Job Summary:

Allina Health has a robust mental health and addiction clinical service line that offers the full continuum of care including integration, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction, co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency, consult psychiatry, and inpatient care.

Key Position Details:

As an adult psychiatrist, you will work within a primary care-based setting using traditional and integrated models for optimal patient access and collaboration of care. You will use tools such as electronic consultation and virtual visits to help improve patient access to psychiatric care in a primary care-based setting. In collaboration with a team of psychiatry providers located at several integrated primary care clinics throughout the metro, you will serve a local population.
  • Full-time is considered 0.75-1.0 FTE (patient contact hours adjust accordingly)
  • 60-minute intake appointments
  • 30-minute follow-up appointments
  • Dedicated time for e-consults and ability to work from home
  • Dedicated administrative time​
  • There are 20+ physicians and advanced practice providers who make up the integrated psychiatry team at eleven locations throughout the Allina Health service area.

Job Description:

  • Consults with providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of their patients
  • Engages the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals
  • Develops and leads staff education in psychiatric issues
  • Participate in provider of the day rotation

Job Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable

Pay Range

Pay Range: $314,000 to $339,000 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
