Role Description

The Sr. Associate, Content – Marketing CRM (Cross-Capability, Campaign Execution) is responsible for designing, building, executing, and optimizing marketing campaigns that deliver personalized customer engagement across email, SMS, and digital advertising channels. This role plays a pivotal cross-capability function, connecting marketing, data, technology, and creative teams to ensure campaigns are seamlessly orchestrated and aligned with business strategy.

Leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce CDP (Data Cloud), the Sr. Associate will build audience segments, activate multichannel journeys, and translate cross-functional requirements into scalable, data-driven campaign execution.

Success in this role requires not only deep technical expertise in marketing automation platforms, but also the ability to collaborate across multiple capabilities to unify strategies, data, and creative execution into a cohesive campaign framework.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Cross-Capability Orchestration
    • Act as the connector between marketing, data, creative, and sales teams, translating requirements into actionable CRM campaigns.
    • Drive alignment across capabilities to ensure data, content, and targeting strategies work cohesively.
    • Provide input on campaign governance, scalability, and cross-team dependencies.
  • Campaign Design & Execution
    • Design, build, and execute end-to-end multichannel campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, and Cloud Pages.
    • Build and manage audience segmentation and activation using Salesforce CDP (Data Cloud) to enable personalized, data-driven campaigns.
    • Configure journey orchestration (entry criteria, decision splits, exit logic) to optimize engagement.
  • Content & Data Integration
    • Develop personalized and dynamic content strategies using AMPscript and SFMC capabilities.
    • Validate and manage data integrity (data source trust, profile stitching rules) to ensure campaign accuracy.
  • Governance, QA & Compliance
    • Implement campaign tracking strategies while ensuring compliance with data privacy standards (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CCPA).
    • Conduct QA and UAT to validate campaign logic, audience targeting, and rendering across channels.
  • Performance & Optimization
    • Monitor campaign performance, IP reputation, and deliverability, recommending improvements.
    • Provide insights and reporting that reflect both cross-capability contributions and campaign impact.
  • Continuous Learning & Innovation
    • Stay current on SFMC, Salesforce CDP, and adjacent Martech innovations to enhance cross-capability campaign execution.
    • Participate in agile sprint planning, providing technical estimations and influencing prioritization.

Basic Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree with 4 years of experience in Marketing Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience

Functional Skills

Must-Have

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, Cloud Pages).
  • Experience with Salesforce CDP (Data Cloud) for audience segmentation and activation.
  • Proficiency in SOQL, SQL, and AMPscript, with a strong understanding of CRM data structures.

Good-to-Have

  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance and customer privacy best practices.
  • Experience integrating digital advertising strategies within SFMC ecosystems.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies and sprint planning.

Preferred Professional Certifications

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Consultant, Developer).
  • Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant certification.
