Essential Job Statements
Communicates and reports information effectively and on time to appropriate audiences.
Suggests and implements process improvements.
Collaborates and communicates with VCU Health Information Technology, Human Resources, Compliance, Payroll, Finance, and MCVP Comp Plan partners to ensure data integrity within databases.
Addresses issues and concerns related to the overall management of provider compensation information in a timely and confidential manner.
Develops detailed design specifications, applications, dashboards, and analytical reports.
Performs complex analysis including reviewing multiple data sets, correlating factors and data relationships to support research and business decisions.
Manages data and analytics projects to include gathering data, prioritizing requirements, and ensuring project deliverables are achieved.
Provides oversight of projects, facilitates project meetings, and collaborates with business stakeholders on projects goals and objectives.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Healthcare Management or related degree from an accredited program.

Minimum Qualifications
Years and Type of Required Experience
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, informatics or related experience SQL, Tableau or Power BI skills required.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Ability to lead, facilitate and support cross functional team projects. Ability to understand clinical and operational needs from a technical and financial perspective. Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, including senior management, clinical and non-clinical staff. Ability to deliver clear written reports, presentations, and to graphically present complex data to key stakeholders. Ability to exercise good judgement and arrive at decisions and recommendations supported by research and data. Ability to lead efforts to adopt new software and tools to support continued innovation in analytics and healthcare strategy. Skill in assessing and determining best course of action with the use of data analytics. Strong creative, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to analyze data, report, identify trends, and develop sound recommendations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint, and the ability to gain proficiency in new analytical tools and software.
