Job Description Summary

Overview:

This role is responsible for all commercial production accounts and operations. Duties include building and maintaining relationships with key production roles, negotiating rental rates, promoting our expansive equipment offerings, overseeing departmental operations, and directing the daily activity of the floor. The position demands strong interpersonal skills, careful attention to a production’s ever-evolving needs and a deep understanding of our operational procedures, always executed with utmost professionalism. The successful applicant will identify and shape the strategic direction of the department to further the growth and development of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Be the main point of contact between SBR and our customers for commercial productions and accounts
  • Foster new connections and maintain existing relationships with key production roles
  • Promote all of Sunbelt’s offerings from stages, lifts, locations & specialty equipment to HVAC, GT, etc.
  • Make office and field visits as well as attend industry/client events
  • Negotiate and assists with equipment needs balanced against budgetary restrictions
  • Oversee the management of our package trucks, drivable generators and their maintenance
  • Input equipment orders and generate quotes & estimates
  • Source and coordinate shipping of specialized and short-stocked equipment
  • Send accurate pull lists to Warehouse Operations and arrange for customer pick-ups and returns
  • Work closely with Warehouse Operations to ensure timely preparation of customer packages
  • Review returns applied to inventory management system by Rentals Desk staff to ensure accuracy
  • Liase with Production and crew regarding any losses and damages, ensuring they are billed accordingly
  • Create order invoices and billing summaries, ensuring all orders and jobs are accurately billed and closed
  • Attend weekly Sales & CSR meetings
  • Reduce costs whenever and wherever possible
  • Create a work environment that fosters safety, ingenuity, efficiency and high morale

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective supervisory and leadership skills
  • Outstanding organization, and ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail
  • Able to re-prioritize tasks to achieve multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Able to stay professional in high-pressure situations with short timelines
  • Robust computer skills including but not limited to
    • Microsoft Office including Excel
    • Data Base/inventory management systems (RTPro)
    • Project/task management applications (Salesforce, Trello, Skedda)
  • Minimum 5 years industry-related experience
  • Knowledge of film industry equipment
    • Lighting
    • Grip
    • Power
    • Cable and distribution
    • Dimming/lighting control
  • Willing and able to work outside of regular hours when necessary

Base Pay Range

39.47 - 54.27
