Job Description:

Position Overview

The Technician I, Maintenance is accountable to repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to established safety, predictive and productive maintenance procedures to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment, building interior and exterior.
  • Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system
  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position.  Work in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.
  • Assist with plant activities as required

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
  • Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
  • Works with close supervision

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience required

Additional Information

  • Ability to perform full life cycle maintenance (troubleshoot, diagnose, problem solving and repair) on production equipment
  • Ability to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses)
  • Experience with repairing conveyers, buckets, grain elevator legs etc.
  • Experience with PLC operated equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold, work in team based environment and being exposed to heights above 100ft.
  • During Harvest must be flexible to alternate between shifts as needed.
