Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

We’re looking for an IT Analyst to join Coinbase US technology team. You’ll be a key player of CB Technology's first line of defense team. You’ll work closely with the engineering teams to identify and document technology risks, formalize and monitor risks remediation activities, enhance key business processes (such as product launch, technical design document, incident retrospectives, quarterly business reviews, etc.) or maintain our overall technology roadmap. You’ll also help to produce CB technology KPIs to enable CB affiliated companies to oversee CB technology’s services performance.

  • Assist management teams by generating committee materials, KPIs, go back to green plan (when KPIs are in breach)
  • Participate in Coinbase Technology Governance framework, and in the ICT Risk Management framework
  • Assist during internal/external audit (gather documents, prepare summary)
  • Maintain team runbooks, team intra-web pages, and risk register metrics dashboards

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • 5+ years of experience in technology governance, risk, and or compliance.
  • Experience working with technology standards or frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, NIST, or ISO
  • Experience working on remediation projects (new regulation, audit findings)
  • Clear/concise communicator and writer; experience drafting/operationalizing project plans across stakeholders, holding teams accountable, and deliverables
  • Enjoy solving hard problems and can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Enterprise Risk, Legal, Compliance, etc.)
  • Previous experience working with various global sites to implement coordinated efforts
  • Experience working within Cloud native environments
  • You are comfortable operating on an unpaved road and dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to leverage data to inform critical decisions and make recommendations
  • Prior experience working on global programs
  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent organization and project management skills in a fast-moving and demanding environment
  • Willingness to embrace a steep learning curve and stretch opportunities to learn new skills

Nice to haves:

  • Working experience working with regulators
  • 2+ years of experience working within Financial Services or FinTech
  • Comfortable working with GRC tools e.g. Jira, Archer etc. and quant and qualitative data analytics
