What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking an experienced Tactical Data Architect in support of the Enduring Experimentation for Optimal Networks (EEON) task within the Network Cross-Functional Team (N-CFT). Under the EEON task you will be designing, implementing, and managing secure and resilient network architectures that support the Army's tactical operations. You will work with a team focused on innovative data management and integration of solutions to enhance the Army's tactical network experimentation and operational capabilities.

More About the Role:

  • This role demands a deep understanding of tactical military communications, network infrastructure, and advanced networking principles.

Duties will include but not limited to the following.

Network Architecture Design:

  • Develop and maintain the overall network architecture plan for tactical operations.
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure to support real-time communications and data transfer.

Network Implementation and Management:

  • Implement and oversee network configurations, hardware installations, and upgrades.
  • Manage network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement robust network security measures to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
  • Ensure network architectures comply with military standards and regulations.

Systems Integration:

  • Collaborate with IT and operational teams to integrate network solutions with various systems, including sensors, communication systems, and external databases.
  • Ensure seamless interoperability between different tactical systems.

Network Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Utilize advanced network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and detect potential issues.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize network performance to support mission-critical operations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on network performance, security status, and project progress to senior leadership.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in networking technology, military standards, and best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve network architecture solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI preferred but a minimum of a Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree in a relevant discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network architecture or a related role, with a focus on tactical or military environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network systems.
  • Expertise in network design, implementation, and management within tactical environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture principles, including routing, switching, and wireless communications.
  • Strong background in cybersecurity principles and practices, particularly as they apply to military networks.
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in network security tools and protocols.
  • Familiarity with military communication systems, DoD standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Leadership abilities and experience in managing technical teams.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in military or defense-related network management and architecture is highly desirable.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Network Design Professional (CNDP) or equivalent.
  • TOGAF or other relevant certifications

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$105,100 - 231,100 USD
