Woven by Toyota is the mobility technology subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation. Our mission is to deliver safe, intelligent, human-centered mobility for all. Through our Arene mobility software platform, safety-first automated driving technology and Toyota Woven City — our test course for advanced mobility — we’re bringing greater freedom, safety and happiness to people and society.

Our unique global culture weaves modern Silicon Valley innovation and time-tested Japanese quality craftsmanship. We leverage these complementary strengths to amplify the capabilities of drivers, foster happiness, and elevate well-being.

TEAM
Woven City is not a smart city, it is the City as a Test-Course for newer mobility and technology. It is not a complete product, but an ever evolving living laboratory where various inventors come from all over the world to test the seeds of new technologies. Woven City’s experience aims to be beyond just a city living experience, where people support each other to realize "Well-being for all"  and feel the warmth of humanity. People who are living there will be the co-inventor for all technologies and services that will be developed at the site to support the realization of this goal.

Our mission is to help design a city as a test course for mobility that enables technology to unlock human potential to thrive. We take this mission seriously and we take our team dynamics equally seriously. The Woven City UX & Design team consists of three UX disciplines: UX design, UX research, and UX technology. We use the latest technologies such as Digital Twin to turn ideas into reality and uncover meaningful and unexpected connections between people, technology, and the environment.

The work we do here is unlike any other. Our initiatives are complex and we work with unknowns. If you’re a detail oriented, but strategic designer who thrives in an environment where you need to be scrappy, this team might be right for you. Are you ready to evangelize a human-centered approach in pursuit of well-being for all? If the answer is yes, we’d love to hear from you.
