About the role:

The Account Based Marketing Strategist will manage product information for usage across many different marketing initiatives.

About the team:

The team consists of marketing professionals who specialize in Account-Based and Deal-Based Marketing. The goal of Account-Based Marketing is to drive a proactive, client-focused marketing and sales approach for a specific client. This collaborative approach between sales and marketing will determine where and how to meet the client’s unique business needs and objectives both near-and long-term. The goal of Deal-Based Marketing is to deliver high-value, customized and deal-specific marketing that shapes desired perceptions, enhances FIS’ competitive positioning and influences buyer decisions. This team utilizes a vast array of MarTech to position FIS and its solutions with the aim of ultimately acquiring a greater share of the clients’ business and earning their continued loyalty.

What you will be doing:

• Develops, delivers and maintains product messaging and information.
• Develops and implements product naming standards. Manages product naming initiatives and product trademarks.
• Designs and implements new idea reviews and recommendations, concept and design development, project management and market introduction.
• Defines and develops purpose, objectives and procedures of product messaging, naming and trademark management functions. Identifies any issues and opportunities. Analyzes policies, procedures and standards for efficiency and effectiveness. Identifies and analyzes characteristics of target audiences and researches target audience needs and objectives.
• Advises senior management on product messaging, naming and trademark initiatives to support company objectives. Consults with internal clients and external providers to develop appropriate solutions. Utilizes methods and delivery mechanisms to develop strategic approaches to meet objectives. Manages execution of strategic plans and the implementation of delivery tactics.
• Manages development, implementation and delivery of product messaging and information. Analyzes situations, objectives, audiences and strategies to identify and select appropriate information structure and delivery mechanisms. Researches needs to determine content and scope of materials by interviewing subject-matter experts, forming focus groups, conducting committee meetings, etc. Develops implementation plans. Presents plans to senior management for approval. Directs development of product messaging and information vehicles.
• Evaluates and assesses new projects based on size, complexity and time frame.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external clients.
• Consults with internal clients and external providers to develop appropriate product information management and distribution solutions.
• Define and develop the purpose, objectives and procedures of the product messaging, naming and trademark management functions.
• Oversee the primary activities of individual contributors to ensure completion of tasks and attainment of departmental goals.
• May be responsible for budgeting of department's personnel, capital, and/or operations expenses.
• May negotiate contracts with vendor management.

What you will need:

Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.  Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Strong understanding of market analysis, planning, development and management
• Knowledgeable of FIS and competitor products
• Excellent knowledge of all markets for products within a product family, as well as company policies and practices
• Knowledge of project management methods and techniques to ensure the coordination of people (internal clients and external vendors) and processes to achieve desired outcomes
• Knowledge of marketing product tools and methodologies
• Proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various s levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
• Proficiency in problem solving and time management skills managing multiple deadlines
• Proficiency to operate independently

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $74,460.00 - $121,370.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
