What you’ll do 

We are looking for an experienced .NET Backend Developer with expertise in AWS cloud technologies to join our custom software engineering team.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems using modern .NET frameworks and cloud-native architectures. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of backend development, from design and implementation to deployment and maintenance, with a strong focus on cloud integration, microservices, and API development.

Due to the secure nature of this role, we are looking for candidates that has Australian citizenship and has the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using .NET (C#).
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs with secure authentication and gateway management.
  • Develop cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, ElastiCache, CloudFront, Aurora, Kinesis and DynamoDB.
  • Modernize legacy systems using serverless and microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, or similar.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
  • Ensure secure authentication and authorization using standards like OAuth, JWT, SSO, and SAML.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Here’s what you need:

  • Strong expertise in .NET (C#) backend development
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and serverless architecture
  • Proven experience in a scaled agile team environment
  • Proficiency in API development, integration, and security
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of authentication frameworks
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases including SQL, Elasticsearch, and DynamoDB
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Australian citizenship with at least 3 years of continuous residency
