Information Technology

The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About the role

The Deputy CISO interprets the vision of the Chief Information Security Officer and translates the abstract concepts into clear, progressive, and measurable security objectives which are furnished to the Security Operations leadership team who are then held accountable for execution and delivery. This individual maintains operational focus across multiple disciplines including cybersecurity event management, forensic investigations, insider threats, and reactive cyber response to ensure service delivery and the overall success of the enterprise security program. This is achieved through the cultivation of opportunities for growth and development of direct reports, the nurturing of interdependencies between teams, and an ability to strategically allocate resources to resolve existing issues and to develop contingencies for potential issues on the horizon. This role leads the strategy, development, implementation and maintenance of policies, standards and processes for Cyber Security Operational group, and other information security groups to include Implementation, oversight and ongoing improvement of event management processes, standardizing metric reporting, and drive improved maturity of information security groups.

  • Has direct impact on outcomes of multiple initiatives across Corebridge Financial

Problem Solving:

  • Identifies operational and strategic issues within multiple functions and resolves to root cause
  • Resolves complex operational and strategic problems for multiple functions; have knowledge from several disciplines or areas of expertise
  • Seeks and identifies opportunities for long-term goal setting and achievement for multiple functions

Autonomy and Decision Making:

  • Establishes, innovates, and improves technology policies and processes that impact Corebridge Financial and stakeholders. Leads transformation and changes that address high-impact issues or concerns
  • Responsible for decision-making related to achieving Information Security long-term goals and ensuring alignment with IT vision
  • Has significant fiscal responsibilities that require frequent interaction with executive leadership such as strategic vendor selections and purchasing decisions

Leadership:

  • Creates and leads CEO / CIO / CISO technology agenda and initiatives
  • Participates in IT leadership committees/teams
  • Provides overall guidance and strategic direction to employees
  • Supervises multiple areas of specialization, multiple large teams/teams, and/or large department
  • Drives innovation, excellence, and change management
  • Responsible for career development and growth of employees in multiple teams/teams and/or large department
  • Typically viewed as thought-leader in area of expertise

Knowledge Expertise

  • Serves as a thought-leader to Corebridge Financial and Corebridge Financial’ s Stakeholders in the field of Cyber Security Operations and Readiness and Response

Education / Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or proven record of experience in Information Technology and Cyber Security roles
  • Recognized by industry peers as technology leader
  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent certifications highly preferred
  • Specialized certifications (e.g., GIAC, CEH) are a plus

Year of Experience

  • 15+ years in technology preferably IT Security, Cyber Security, IT Security Operations / Readiness / Response
  • 12+ years in managerial/leadership positions

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ and Woodland Hills, CA the base salary range is $225,000 - 275,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
