Job Description:

Data Center Solution (DCS) Business Unit:

The Data Center Solutions Business Unit at Microchip designs enterprise-class storage solutions for leading enterprises and data centers worldwide. Our products leverage modern technologies such as RAID, Security, PCIe, NVMe, SAS, SATA, SDRAM, and NAND.

• What will you do in this position?

In this role, reporting to the Manager Engineering Services, you will be part of the Customer Tools Team within the Applications Engineering Group of Data Center Solutions. As a Senior Verification Developer, you will work in the Verification Team and be responsible for validating our Java-based, multi-platform desktop applications. Your main focus will be the design, development, and execution of C#-based (or Java/Python) test cases required to verify the functionality, quality, and reliability of our customer-facing software tools.

Your responsibilities include analyzing software requirements, developing and maintaining automated and manual test cases and test modules using C#, Java, or Python, executing tests and documenting results, analyzing test runs, identifying and reporting defects using established bug-tracking processes, and closely supporting the Development Team throughout the software lifecycle.

• Key job responsibilities/duties include:

Analysis from Software requirements
Development and implementation of test cases / module in C#, Java or Python
Maintenance of test cases
Perform test cases and create documentation
Analysis from test runs and report violations (Bug tracking)
Supporting the Development Team

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering

• Fluent English, German is a plus

• Excellent communication skills, team orientated, analytical, open minded und problem solving oriented

• 5-8 years’ experience with Desktop Java development

• Integration/usage of hardware stack (PCIe, CXL, SATA) APIs
