This is an enterprise global Senior Sales Specialist position focused on driving business objectives to obtain commercial targets within defined commercial accounts. While working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, this role will be challenged with proactively generating sales to help continue to develop this growing sub-segment.  This role brings deep expertise and thought leadership on global specific products into ongoing sales pursuits. The Senior Sales Specialist role acts as subject matter expert on specific products and partners closely with various groups to support ongoing sales growth opportunities.  This is a team-oriented group that promotes innovative thought and idea sharing. This position is within the strategic Global Account Management (GAM) team, and will work closely with Global Key Account Directors and Customer Success Executives in driving new business into strategic accounts that are part of the GAM program.

About the Role:

In this opportunity, you will:

  • Accumulates expertise and demonstrates mastery of specific product / content
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the most relevant customer needs within area of specialism by providing thought leadership
  • Identifies how customer needs can be addressed through different product options and configurations to deliver the most impact
  • Shares knowledge and best practices with broader Sales team by supporting on pursuits
  • Defaults to engaging customers through virtual channels for the majority of deals
  • Acts as overlay support towards the end of the Sales cycle, to drive sales towards close
  • Focuses on more complex, higher value new logo and incremental sales (upsell and cross-sell) opportunities
  • Works in a pooled team across accounts within subsegment, rather than account or territory-aligned
  • Gathers and shares best practices across the broader Sales teams to support account / territory strategies
  • Grow sales in collaboration with Sales Executives, Customer Success Executives, Solution Consultants, and utilizing specialist knowledge to deliver gross sales
  • Major emphasis on opening up new business, both within existing accounts and new customers
  • Assist in key retention situations as required
  • Provides deep product expertise to drive sales and renewals to close
    • New logo sales
    • Existing account incremental sales
    • May not be individually quota carrying, where primarily pooled across a large number of deals

About You:

You're a fit for the role, if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of technical discipline or specialism
  • Global experience in a similar function
  • Provides subject matter expertise across sub-units
  • Strong understanding of other roles within the function or Business Unit and how they are connected.
  • Proven excellent thought leadership
  • Demonstrates a significant degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness
  • Anticipates internal business challenges and develops innovative concepts, services, technologies or products to address current and future customer needs
  • Knowledge of relationships between all relevant groups within the company
  • Adapts traditional approaches to solutions and applies in different circumstances
  • Demonstrates mastery of a specific discipline across a range of related issues
  • Customer oriented approach with strong skills in influencing, negotiation, complex problem solving and conflict management
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to thrive amidst ambiguity and adapt to shifting circumstances
  • Experience and proven success at leading complex, strategic negotiations, and delivery on subsequent agreements
  • Excellent ability to develop and manage relationships with complex and large global accounts
  • Resourceful and highly organized self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and operate successfully in a complex, dynamic, fast paced, highly collaborative, and continuously evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to successfully partner and leverage supporting team of Sales Consultants, Lead Generation, Professional Services, Product Development and Marketing.

The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $196,000 - $364,000. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: KS, MI, MN, NY, VA. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $196,000 - $364,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
