Agropur is looking for a night shift shipping supervisor to join its team in St-Laurent, the largest Agropur dairy production plant in Quebec. Thanks to its 300 dedicated employees, our plant ships over 300 million liters of milk each year.

The night shift shipping supervisor plans, directs, and controls the center's activities to distribute dairy products to distributor agents and various distribution centers from a stable and timely supply of products. The work schedule is from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM.

• Salary range 004: 67 700$ to 84 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)

What’s involved in this role:

The responsibilities of the shipping supervisor at the St-Laurent plant are:

• Planning warehouse schedules, posting the pre-schedule, finalizing the schedule, auditing the final schedule while respecting the collective agreement;

• Managing the overtime process and acting as the point of contact to gather information in case of disputes;

• Managing personnel transfers;

• Supervising and directing the team of load and return attendants and forklift operators;

• Ensuring proper coordination of order preparation, inter-warehouse transfers, and cross-docking;

• Mobilizing, developing, and supporting the team to achieve warehouse performance targets and guiding them in a culture of operational improvement;

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety, environmental, and sanitation programs, and overseeing the respect, application, and updating of the quality control plan (training);

• Extracting and analyzing software reports based on operational needs and making recommendations to the shipping manager to improve performance tracking;

• Being the main point of contact for various email requests from other departments to the warehouse and ensuring effective communication to other shifts, ensuring customer route follow-ups, intra-site route follow-ups, and general communications;

• Ensuring compliance with warehouse operational procedures to control and ensure inventory accuracy;

• Managing disciplinary measures.

What you need to join our team:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a shipping supervisor in a unionized environment;

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;

• General knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and transportation.
