Job Description:

Your responsibilities:

• You will design local category strategy by aligning with global HVDC category team, presenting the strategy to the review board for approval and beforehand ensure buy-in from main internal stakeholders, drive strategy implementation.

• You will initiate and lead execution of localization/CN supplier development project, meet required target on cost, quality and timeframe.

• You will ensure the policies, process and procedure of Hitachi Energy’ supplier management (qualification, classification, performance evaluation, etc.)  are fully in compliant and utilized in daily work with suppliers

• You will monitor supplier performance of quality and delivery, participate the improvement project to mitigate supply risk and responsible for supplier contract.

• You will collaborate with tender teams to determine necessary items for sourcing during the tender phase, manage corresponding suppliers’ cost, delivery time, purchasing terms & conditions meeting tender target and budget, set up solid risk mitigation plan for supply risk.

• You will be working as escalation point to solve supplier issues (delivery, quality, service, etc.) during project execution, ensuring suppliers performance and deliverables meeting project target.

• You will Meet annual cost reduction target of responsible categories, define and develop cost-out road map to responsible categories; initiate and lead cost reduction program with cross-functional team in China and global.

Your background:

• You hold bachelor’s degree or above, major in engineering or business administration.

• Minimum 8years of solid professional experience in strategic sourcing and commodity management, experience in power, automation and large equipment industry is preferred.

• Wealthy experience in localization and global sourcing.

• Experience and knowledge of project management, procurement in EP or EPC will be an advantage.

• Knowledge in computer applications e.g. SAP, MS office suite, etc.

• Good team player and self-starter with strong ownership.

• Travel is required, up to 30% both domestic and international.

• Good communication and presentation skill can influence internal stakeholders at different level within local and global organization.

• Language ability-fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.
