We're hiring a Billing & Revenue Operations Specialist at Merkle in Sofia.

Purpose
We are looking for a highly organised Billing & Revenue Operations Specialist to support our Digital Analytics team on key global accounts. This role will focus on accurate, timely and compliant billing and revenue processes across multiple markets, partnering closely with finance teams, platform specialists, and local market leads. You'll play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate monthly cost data from Google SA360 and DV360 platforms.

  • Create billing reports by accurately splitting and allocating costs by platform, country, and campaign.

  • Convert invoice values into appropriate local currencies using approved processes.

  • Coordinate uploads to our in-house media billing system, MediaOcean, which supports multi‑market billing cycles.

  • Collect, validate, and track purchase orders (POs) across all markets to ensure timely invoicing.

  • Manage Intercompany Purchase Agreements (ICPAs) for UK cost recovery and liaise with local teams.

  • Validate Google invoices and process credit note corrections when needed.

  • Resolve PO discrepancies, missing approvals, and blockers impacting billing.

  • Monitor client spending: inform revenue projections or contract renegotiations when renewal is approaching.

  • Maintain compliance, documentation quality, and audit‑ready standards across all workflows.

  • Create and maintain Salesforce records to streamline revenue recognition and billing.

  • Act as an escalation point for disputes, overspend issues, and exceptions requiring operational investigation.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong analytical and financial operations skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Experience with digital media billing systems (Google SA360, DV360) preferred

  • Confident communicator, comfortable working across markets and stakeholder groups

  • Ability to work at pace, handle multiple deadlines, and manage operational complexity

  • Proactive problem solver who enjoys process improvement and collaboration

What do we offer:

  • We are strong advocates of work-life balance, so we provide all our staff with 25 days of paid leave and 3 fixed well-being days off annually.

  • A hybrid work model for our teams so they can work from the office or the comfort of their home.

  • Free parking is available for all our employees working from the office.

  • Complimentary drinks and snacks in the office to keep energy levels up.

  • Parent-friendly culture and potential for additional days off to create new memories with your loved ones.

  • Life Insurance, Health and dental insurance plans or, if selected, gift vouchers instead.

  • Sports card, partially covered by the company and food vouchers.

  • 2 days off for volunteering and numerous charity initiatives throughout the year.

  • Opportunity to attend training, conferences and get certification sponsored by the company upon availability and business need.
