Who we are looking for

 We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect – Vice President to help lead the strategy and governance of critical enterprise technologies, ensuring compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and other regulatory requirements. This role will be responsible for defining and maintaining architecture frameworks, ensuring resilience in technology solutions, and aligning IT strategy with business and regulatory needs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise architecture, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience within financial services.

 What you will be responsible for

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
  • Define and maintain the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise technology platforms.
  • Ensure alignment of IT systems with broader enterprise technology standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with technology, data governance, and business teams to drive best practices in IT architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies that enhance the resilience and efficiency of enterprise solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance & DORA Alignment
  • Ensure IT architecture and technology solutions comply with DORA regulations, particularly regarding risk management, operational resilience, and third-party risk oversight.
  • Partner with risk, compliance, and audit teams to implement and maintain controls that meet regulatory expectations.
  • Define resilience strategies, including business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Governance & Standards
  • Establish architectural governance frameworks to ensure security, scalability, and maintainability across enterprise platforms.
  • Define and enforce policies for technology risk management, system integration, and operational resilience.
  • Lead architecture reviews and approval processes for new technology initiatives. 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a bridge between business leaders, technology teams, and regulatory bodies to drive strategic IT initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architecture and engineering teams.
  • Present architectural strategies and compliance updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders. 

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or financial services IT.
  • Strong understanding of DORA regulations and their impact on IT architecture and operational resilience.
  • Experience designing and implementing resilient, secure, and scalable enterprise systems.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including compliance, risk, and IT security.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with cloud-based architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with AI-driven automation, advanced data governance, and cybersecurity frameworks.
