The Global Supply Chain Planning team is responsible for orchestrating SC activities worldwide to guarantee reliable and secure delivery of medicines and vaccines while optimizing operational cost and working capital.
The Planning Operations & Excellence Director leads the Global Planning Hub in Poznań, ensuring the development and delivery of an integrated operational plan that optimizes the GSK network end to end.
This role will deliver on our SC ambition and enable profitable growth, by refreshing and reinforcing integrated & automated planning processes, implementing new tools and capabilities and build and strengthen a strong SC planning organization.
This role sets the vision for planning capability in the Hub, drives operational excellence, and partners with all stakeholders to embed standards, technology, data quality and continuous improvement across the organisation.
You will lead a team of planning managers and planners, elevate performance through your strong leadership and process governance, and ensure the planning organisation is equipped to meet both current and future business needs.
Leadership & People Development
Lead, coach and develop a team of >70 supply chain planning professionals to deliver best-in-class performance aligned with GSK’s Culture.
Drive capability building across the hub, ensuring planning talent, process expertise and technical skills are strengthened.
Lead talent strategy for the Poznań hub, including external partnerships with universities and talent pipelines.
Oversee onboarding of new starters for the Planning Hub and Therapy Area Planning teams.
Develop and deliver a plan to maintain and elevate high levels of organizational engagement as measured via employee surveys.
Operational Planning Excellence
Ensure development and execution of an E2E optimized operational plan that delivers breakthrough results every day on Customer Service, E2E lead time, Working Capital & Operating Leverage to drive profitable growth.
Own and mature the CCC process across therapy areas, ensuring adherence to standards and continuous improvement.
Owns and delivers a highly effcient and accurate Annual budget planning cycle in a timely and reliable way.
Embed a strong culture of data quality, partnering with Master Data Management to maintain high integrity of planning data.
Serve as the single point of accountability for planning hub operations, culture and engagement.
Process, Systems & Technology
Collaborate with Global Process Owners, IT and Analytics to continuously enhance planning processes and embed new standards and technologies.
Lead the implementation of new supply planning systems and tools and develop a high capability planning organisation equipped to fully leverage the new capabilities.
Own reporting standards, KPIs and performance management frameworks for the hub, in partnership with SC&S Performance and Supply Chain Analytics teams.
Ensure planning teams maintain the capability to execute core end-to-end processes, including compliance auditing and gap remediation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Manufacturing Sites , Quality, Logistics, Procurement, Finance and Customer Supply Chain to shape an integrated 0–3 year improvement roadmap.
Drive programmes that enable an efficient, connected and resilient end-to-end planning function.
Contribute to strategic capability development with the GPO team, participate in benchmarking and build business cases for future operating model improvements.
Extensive end-to-end supply planning experience, ideally in pharmaceuticals.
Deep knowledge of supply chain planning processes, systems and architecture.
Proven capability in developing talent and leading teams in complex, matrixed environments.
Strong continuous improvement mindset with ability to identify external best practice and translate into scalable solutions.
Demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels (up to SVP) and lead large, multidisciplinary programmes.
Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or MBA.
Experience in leading large transformation projects with enterprise wide impact
Experience in global healthcare or pharmaceutical environments.
