Position Overview

Align is seeking a driven, customer-centric Account Executive with experience selling Professional Services and Solutions within the Data Center Industry.  This role will be instrumental in implementing a sales strategy to pursue new business development for consulting and execution services related to Data Center Migration, Relocation, Consolidation, and Optimization. Sales acumen, a relevant professional network to enable sales, and a track record of selling data center solutions is required. Candidates must have a proven track record of executing sales strategies and exceeding sales goals for Professional Services and Solutions, ideally related to Data Center Transformation. You must possess the ability to develop sales pipelines and close business. You will act as a trusted advisor to deliver business value to client decision makers and key business stakeholders.

  • This is a hybrid position (mostly remote) that will report to our Iselin, NJ office but will have the ability to sell consulting projects through-out the US.
  • This is a full-time employment position offering comprehensive benefits, a base salary in the $130K to $150K range, paid training and an On Target Earnings with Commission in the $300K range.

Responsibilities

  • Exceed measurable sales objectives, grow revenue and bring on new Data Center Relocation and Consolidation Professional Services Projects.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach with key client stakeholders to address the business needs for data center infrastructure advisory solutions including data center inventory, cloud readiness, application portfolio assessment, dependency mapping and data center migration planning.
  • Meet with key influencers, decision-makers, and C-levels to present the value proposition of the Data Center Migration Solution.
  • Partner with our SMEs to design and position compelling solutions for clients that are accurately priced.
  • Conduct demand generation activities such as happy hours, industry networking and technology forums.
  • Collaborate on marketing plans and best practices to generate leads.
  • Keep up to date with technology partner solutions, industry trends and competitor strategies.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in addition to 5+ years of technology sales experience with a focus on professional or consulting services sales in the data center space.
  • Possess relevant business development experience within the data center, colocation or REIT’s industries with a strong rolodex and relationships.
  • An understanding of the migration process for virtual and physical relocations.
  • Proven track record of direct selling to enterprise clients and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
