What you’ll be working on

You'll drive requirements gathering and solution design across diverse initiatives that keep CMC Markets at the forefront of financial technology. Your analytical skills will be essential in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements that development teams can implement effectively.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work directly with Product Owners, Project Managers, and developers to understand business challenges and design solutions that deliver real value

• Requirements Excellence: Conduct stakeholder interviews and process analysis to create comprehensive business and functional requirements that guide successful project outcomes

• Agile Leadership: Build and manage backlogs of epics and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, ensuring development teams have clear direction

• Solution Design: Create mockups and partner with technical teams to design solutions that are both effective and achievable within project constraints

• Quality Assurance: Coordinate user acceptance testing across all CMC offices, ensuring solutions meet business needs before launch

• Communication: Maintain up-to-date documentation and present demos that keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout project lifecycles

• Continuous Improvement: Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives and contribute to best practices that elevate the entire team's performance

What will help you be successful?

We're looking for an analytical thinker who thrives on solving complex business problems and has the communication skills to bring stakeholders together around common solutions.

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience, ideally within financial services, banking, or stockbroking environments where you've managed complex requirements

• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management abilities you can lead meetings, manage competing priorities, and build consensus among diverse groups

• Agile methodology expertise with hands on experience in Scrum or Kanban environments

• Technical toolkit proficiency including Jira, Confluence, process modelling, wireframing, data analysis, and visualisation tools like Visio or Miro

• Bonus technical knowledge in API documentation, SQL, or web/mobile application development will help you excel in our technology-focused environment
