Summary of Job Duties:
The Project Manager will work with the team and provide direct support on all project activities. The person in this position will be responsible for management and coordination of post-award duties such as project implementation, project reporting and regulatory compliance. The position will provide post-award grants management support for internal and external funding mechanisms including support for budget management and some data collection duties. Strong writing, reading, analytic and communication skills required, as well as excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience building and/or managing databases in REDCap, Excel, and/or other data management systems is highly desirable. Additional responsibilities include assisting the PI with developing and monitoring the budget and disseminating project reports.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree, Major: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field plus 5 years of administrative, project management experience
- Professional License/Certificate: UAMS Certified Research Specialist, must obtain within 1 year of employment.
- Computer program experience: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, REDCap or other database management software.
- Computer program proficiency level: Advanced
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Degree, Major Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field with three years of grant project management experience or Bachelor’s degree with five years of grant project management experience.

Responsibilities:
- Student Recruitment & Marketing: Develops and implements plans to attract and retain Arkansas students for in-person and virtual programs. Represents UAMS at career fairs, presentations, and community events.
- Student Support: Guides students on MCAT prep, resumes, personal statements, volunteer hours, and shadowing opportunities. Connects students with mentors and provides academic advising for allied health programs.
- Communication & Data Management: Manages communication with students and stakeholders, maintains a recruitment database, and responds to inquiries.
- Event Planning & Outreach: Promotes UAMS programs, conducts presentations, and organizes events for prospective students.
- AHEC Scholars Program: Supports professional students with applications, financial forms, and activity completion, ensuring compliance with requirements.
