Support Center - Irving
The Loss Prevention Analyst is responsible for providing support, analysis and insight into the company’s current, past and future inventory shrink performance. These responsibilities include: develop key loss prevention metrics, benchmark shrink statistics from a field and merchandise perspective, measure shrink reductions from initiatives as well as analyze and identify shrink outliers based on internal and external factors. In addition, will present shrink and sales analytics, departmental information and prepare ad-hoc reports. The analyst will work collaboratively with business partners, such as Field Operations, Merchants and Executives, to achieve and improve merchandise and store profitability.
Major Activities
Analyze Loss Prevention Initiatives
- Develop analyses that measure shrink and sales impact to ensure profitability is maximized for all current loss prevention initiatives such as CCTV, EAS program, and Merchandise Protection methods.
- Provide support and develop analysis of business cases in support of future loss prevention initiatives, including analyzing expected cost and profitability improvement, to ensure returns on capital are maximized.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to brainstorm loss prevention and damage reduction initiatives.
- Actively involved in the Internal exception reporting system with the inventory module. Will provide KPI’s, monitors, and alerts for stores.
Provide support for ongoing Inventory and Shrink related issues
- Oversee weekly S.K.U level shrink exception report. Identify root causes and work with appropriate internal partners to determine solutions.
- Respond to ad-hoc merchandise concerns from Stores, Operations, and Merchants in order to determine if problems affect the entire chain. Collaborate and provide data, support, analysis and solutions to all parties concerned.
- Develop and own the reporting for merchandise protection programs.
- Develop reporting for Damage Committee through partnership with key partners, such as merchants, store operations. Provide analytical insight and recommendations for solutions.
- Develops reporting and attends some planogram walks and reviews new sets with merchants for shrink implications.
- Works on projects that have shrink reduction to include DC, accounts payable, inventory reconciliation.
Develop Key Performance Indicators
- Improve and develop processes that enable the use of industry shrink statistics, regional demographic data, local crime rates/indices, as well as internal factors such as security measures, operational variables and risk related claims and incidents.
- Based on these indicators, provide exception-based reporting when KPIs for a given store suggest high shrink; work with LP field managers and present shrink reduction opportunities.

- Prepare communication presentations as needed in support of initiatives and cross functional working groups

- Strong MS Office required

- 2 plus years of increasing responsibilities in finance or accounting
- Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources

Preferred Education
- 4 year of college degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills
- Essbase, Oracle Financials, Retek, and MicroStrategy/Data Warehouse experience preferred
Preferred Type of experience the job requires
- 2 plus years of increasing responsibilities in finance or accounting, preferably in a Loss prevention retail environment
