Director of Finance

Role Overview

Serves as a strategic advisor to senior business leaders, translating financial insights into actionable business decisions. This role bridges finance and operations, driving performance, growth, and value creation through rigorous financial planning, analysis, and partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to executive (f.e. GIS President) and senior leadership (local leadership)
  • Partner with business unit leaders to drive strategy, growth initiatives, and operational efficiency
  • Influence decision-making through data-driven financial insights and scenario analysis

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Analyze actual financial performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to track business performance

Decision Support & Value Creation

  • Evaluate deals and investments, pricing strategies, cost optimization, and ROI
  • Provide financial modeling and business cases for strategic and deal initiatives for the region and align for corporate direction

Financial Governance & Controls

  • Ensure financial integrity, compliance, and adherence to corporate policies
  • Partner with accounting, tax, treasury, and audit teams
  • Strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance business partner team
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships (Other business lines like CES and Insurance, markets Operations, Sales, HR)
  • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and business partnering
  • Proven experience supporting senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills; advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel; ERP and BI tools experience preferred
  • A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
