The Country Risk Analyst I is a trainee professional role. Requires a good knowledge of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks and a basic understanding of the underlying concepts and principles upon which the job is based. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Makes evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information. They are expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own job.
Responsibilities:
ICAAP preparation related : Verification of the portfolio data and other information for ICAAP stress loss and concentration models, verify the model outputs, coordinate with regional ICAAP team for Scenario and MEV forecasts, collate the required information from other departments for reputational and strategic risk assessments, coordinate with Finance, CAO and other business teams for necessary inputs. Coordinate for necessary 2LOD ICAAP governance i.e. approvals from RMCO, CFO, CCO, ICAAP Steering Committee, IRMC and CCC
Managing IFRS9 submissions to regulator: Prepare IFRS9 monthly workings, exposure reconciliation, variance analysis, Prepare the working of expected loss scalar, prepare templates for staging adjustments, input data for regulatory submission, facilitate ad hoc information requests from regulator, review of local SLFRS9 procedure document etc.
Model Risk Management : Provide all necessary information for validation , ongoing monitoring and model change processes for local models and coordinate with MRM validators for necessary model related workflows & approvals.
MCA- Perform testing and the required MCA system updates for new EMPs, SMPs or local ARCMs. Assist RMCO MCA ARA
Coordinate Sri Lanka RMC meetings quarterly and maintain the governance committee requirements as per the Citi governance policy. Perform functions as the secretary to RMC, prepare agenda, circulate the relevant documents (agenda, minutes, summary of key metrics) with the members.
Involvement in regulatory reporting activities: Check the report accuracy, input regulatory returns in local regulatory systems, submit returns to the regulator, review procedure documents, maintain Atlas inventory, initiate monthly reg submission workflows for RMCO approvals and , involve in regulatory reports automation, validating the UAT results.
Handle system related functions of record management, administrative functions in EUC system in relation to periodic reviews and periodic risk assessment, iCAPs and Issue coordination,
Function as the AU reg coverage lead in Regulatory Change management for applicability review, impact assessment and action plans.
Assist RMCO & RSCO for portfolio management tasks, preparation of portfolio review decks for CCC and IRMC, annual disclosures, review of Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Framework, functions related to Inter-affiliate services.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Qualifications:
Previous experience preferred
Knowledge and understanding of Accounting and Financial Concepts; Financial analysis
High attention to detail and analytical abilities
Ability to work within tight deadlines. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work autonomously.
Proficient in Microsoft office especially excel.
Excellent communication skills.
