What You Will Do

The Business Systems Analyst FCC is a technical expert who is responsible for examining, designing, and recommending specific application or operating systems based on business needs and requirements.

The value you deliver

  • Collaborate with business teams to elicit, analyze, and document API and integration requirements across a range of firm initiatives

  • Define API specifications, including request/response structures, payload formats, system interactions, and data mappings

  • Support API design and lifecycle management

  • Work with architects and developers to ensure APIs align with Digital Client Onboarding platform standards and business outcomes

  • Ensure API implementations meet Operations and Compliance requirements

  • Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, developers, and product owners

  • Using continuous improvement methodologies continually searches for and takes initiative to improve and/or eliminate ineffective processes to improve customer service or gain efficiencies

  • Collaborate with application development and vendors to identify potential solutions and helps to define the selection criteria

The Expertise You Bring

  • Experience in requirement gathering and use cases development

  • Skilled in facilitating technical discussions and providing knowledge transfer to clients and internal staff

  • Experience working in an Agile environment on a self-managed team

  • Strong ability to present ideas, lead technical walkthroughs, and produce clear status updates

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

  • Strong technical aptitude and can adapt to new technologies quickly

  • Experience working with API integration

  • Familiarity with SoapUI, Postman, and XSD

  • Familiarity with JIRA, and Confluence 

  • Technical Business Systems Analysts (BSA) need a blend of strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to bridge business needs with IT solutions, alongside technical expertise in SQL, data modeling, system architecture, SDLC methodologies, focusing on requirements gathering, process modeling, and technical documentation to design, test, and implement effective technology solutions

  • Core Technical Skills SQL & Databases: Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and database design for data-driven insights. System Analysis & Design: Understanding system architecture, design principles, and software development lifecycles (SDLC). Data Analysis: Analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and using visualization tools (Tableau). Programming: Familiarity with languages like Python or Java can be beneficial

  •  Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud services and platforms

  • Cybersecurity: Understanding risk management principles

What We Are Looking For

  • University Degree, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent relevant work experience

  • More than 3 years working experience in a business systems analyst role in Brokerage Securities Industry or Financial services with strong business and/or IT knowledge

  • Good understanding of Financial Products used in Securities Industry and Wealth Management
