Position Overview:

Lean Six Sigma Black Belts are change agents for process and product quality improvements. They are responsible for implementing Six Sigma quality methods and tools across our business and supply chain. They manage risk, set direction and lead the way to breakthrough improvements in product and process quality

Essential Functions:

  • Assist senior management in the development of plans to achieve Six Sigma goals including project identification and Belt selection
  • Provide analysis and feedback to management on project activities, improvements, and savings
  • Transfer best practices, procedures and tools to peers and other process improvement teams
  • Conduct Black Belt, Green Belt, Lean Belt, DFSS and Champion training classes
  • Review projects for proper methodology and tool usage
  • Work with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvement plans
  • Challenge conventional wisdom by demonstrating successful application of new methodologies to improve product and process quality

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Required Qualifications:

  • In depth knowledge of Six Sigma, including Design for Six Sigma, tools and their application
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement
  • Proven project management and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Strong analytical/technical aptitude
  • Strong strategic and tactical planning skills
  • Strong growth and performance potential
  • Proficiency with mathematical statistics
  • Able to manage and resolve conflict
  • Extensive Six Sigma training, coaching and mentoring experience.
  • 8-10 years experience in product/process improvement.
  • Bachelor s degree
  • Certified Black Belt/Master Black Belt
  • Design for Six Sigma
