Job Description

Motorola Solutions is looking for an undergraduate student to fulfill two roles as a full-time Summer 2025 intern. The logistics role is an administrative role that supports the office, while the community role works to create a strong sense of community among employees through events, interactions, and service to others. The selected candidate will be self-motivated and have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Logistic responsibilities include:

    • Onboarding and orientation for new staff.

    • Ordering and distributing office supplies and IT equipment such as desks, laptops, monitors, etc.

    • Coordinating with the Motorola Security and our landlord on security issues (e.g. badge access).

    • Organizing travel for staff.

    • Organizing lunches, dinners, and event catering  (we order a lot of food here!).

    • Stocking and maintaining the kitchen.

    • Maintaining a detailed expense ledger.

    • Greeting guests and visitors.

    Community responsibilities include:

    • Proposing and hosting creative events for team activities, designed to create a sense of community amongst the employees

    • Finding and hosting meaningful service opportunities for employees to support and engage with the community

    • Creating opportunities for ongoing relationships (e.g. book club, movie club, etc.)

    This is a full-time paid summer internship position located at our Research Park facility on the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus.

Basic Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at the University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign.

    Graduating year December 2025 or later.

    You are a U.S. Citizen, U.S. permanent resident or possess other unrestricted US work authorization.
