What We Offer 

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $90,000/year. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location 

In this position you can expect to work five (5) days in office (5440 Roslyn St., Denver, CO 80216). There is flexibility for a hybrid work schedule following the successful completion of probation. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

The Division of Transportation Operations has an opening for an Assets Administrator I. This position will work with the Assets Administrator II, Transportation Operations Team, and DOTI senior staff to implement asset management efforts across Transportation Operations and within DOTI.   

 
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing asset management programs within the Transportation Operations division and contributing to asset management programs across DOTI. In addition, you will utilize and enhance available methods for collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data used to support complex risk-based decision-making for asset management; contribute to and coordinate data collection programs related to transportation infrastructure operations; and provide technical expertise including the use of specialized software and GIS applications for data collection, reporting, and OpenGov Enterprise Asset Management System. 

 

Specifically, as the Assets Administrator I, you will: 

  • Plan and facilitate asset management work programs with multiple teams across Transportation Operations and DOTI. 

  • Perform System Administrator duties as directed for Denver’s OpenGov Enterprise Asset Management System – responsible for data integrity, user management, data integrations and system management. 

  • Maintain and carry out maintenance of GIS data for City assets including inventory, maintenance, condition, and cost. 

  • Work closely with other city Asset Management staff to support the Transportation Operations Asset Management Programs, supporting personnel as a subject matter expert on the OpenGov Enterprise Asset Management System and GIS support.   

  • Develop and deliver solutions for mobile data collection, analysis and presentation with maps, data visualizations and dashboards. 

  • Perform GIS operations and analysis of multiple different asset types, work activities, and deliverables including maps, reports, and analysis. 

  • Conduct trainings for OpenGov users including in-person training, online trainings, and developing self-paced online trainings for staff to use. 

  • Design, build, and deliver regular reports to leadership and division-wide as needed. 

  • Fulfill requests for data related to City assets and work performed including CORA requests and requests from internal and external parties. 

 

What You’ll Bring 

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:  

  • Experience using and performing Administrator duties in OpenGov or a GIS-centric asset management system 

  • The ability to use Esri GIS tools including ArcGIS Online to map and provide data visualizations designed with insights and answers for teams and leadership 

  • Familiarity with asset management principles and practices (experience in a public works asset management setting is a plus) 

  • Experience performing business analysis functions, including business process improvement development and workflow analysis 

  • Strong data management skills and experience 

  • Demonstrated experience using data to create, present, and implement digital workflow efficiencies for field and office teams 

 

Required Minimum Qualifications 

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 

  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area (This does not include clerical experience). 

  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
