Job Summary
The Red Hat Software Engineering, part of the CTO office, team is looking for a highly motivated student who can join us in the Raanana office and who wants to gain hands-on experience with open source and Red Hat products. In this role, you will work with diverse projects using different programming languages, frameworks and environments. What you will do:
Play an active role in one or more of the projects: Data Center Management, x2ansible, cost management on prem or OpenShift migration advisor
Contribute to new feature development by building, testing, bug-fixing and designing; contribute to open source projects in Golang, Python or TypeScript
Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) flows
Work with upstream communities/partners or customers to improve Red Hat driven open source projects or products
What will you bring:
Experience in development in Golang, Python or TypeScript
Familiarity with linux containers and OpenShift or Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with the Linux operating system
Interest in learning new technologies; problem-solving skills.
Ability to work equally well as an individual contributor or as a team member
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Must be enrolled in an accredited university program in Israel during the whole duration of the internship and eligible to begin a full-time role in 2027 or 2028
Must be available for the internship from August 2026 till July 2027
The following are considered a plus:
Familiarity with virtualization, networking or storage technologies
Previous code contributions to or participation in open source projects or code samples on GitHub.
Understanding of distributed systems, design patterns and clean code practices
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality.
