Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Data & Analytics Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will support the organization's data democratization initiatives and contribute to transformational projects that drive business insights through advanced analytics, automation, and data visualization. The analyst will work directly with senior leadership while collaborating across finance and business functions to deliver actionable intelligence and streamline processes through scalable solutions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Execution

  • Partner with the Finance Data and Analytics Leader to execute strategic data initiatives
  • Present analytics findings and strategic recommendations to business leaders
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers to ensure solution alignment with business needs

Automation & Process Improvement

  • Support implementation of robotic process automation (RPA) for routine data tasks
  • Participate in workflow optimization projects to eliminate manual work and reduce cycle times
  • Document current state processes and design future state solutions
  • Test and validate automated solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability

Data Management and Visualization Tools

  • Develop and maintain data validation rules and quality control processes
  • Document data sources, methodologies, and analytical procedures
  • Support data governance initiatives and maintain data catalog documentation
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using visualization tools

Business Partnership & Support

  • Assist business units with data interpretation and analytical problem-solving
  • Support special projects and initiatives requiring analytical expertise
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions

Technology Partnership & Innovation

  • Support evaluation and testing of new tools and technologies
  • Identify and perform analysis of best practices and tool suite for associated solutions & problems
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and analytical methodologies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in finance, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or related quantitative field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, data analytics, or related fields
  • Proven track record leading transformation projects in finance or related functions

Desired Characteristics: 

  • Experience in GE Vernova’s leadership programs (CAS, OFLP, FMP, etc)
  • Deep understanding of financial systems, processes, and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools 
  • Experience with modern data platforms 
  • Familiarity with visualization tools, machine learning, and understanding of automation technologies
  • Project management capabilities with examples of delivering complex, multi-year initiatives
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking with ability to understand business requirements and associated technical solutions
  • Change management expertise with proven ability to drive projects to completion
  • Desire to improve stakeholder satisfaction and ability to measure returns on initiatives

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $124,900.00 and $208,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
