Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations under direct supervision. The Associate Toolmaker supports the preventative maintenance and sharpening of tooling already used in production. This position follows standard work methods or explicit instructions in order to complete tasks.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Follows standard work processes to perform cleaning and preventative maintenance of tools, molds or fixtures with supervision from CAD models, blueprints, sketches or tool descriptions.
  • Operates general tool room equipment including surface grinders, manual mills, manual lathes, drill presses, and an array of hand tools.
  • Maintains proper documentation of work produced.
  • Interacts horizontally with R&D, PD&E, EHSS, Production, and Quality Associates on a daily basis.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Education: High School graduate required. Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: High school graduate with 3-5 years of related experience or 6 months of technical school in related field completed.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Special Skills: Good mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate general tool room equipment.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
