Job Description:

Job Role/Responsibilities

The Singapore CMRM Analyst will be responsible supporting local stakeholders relating to CMRM’s Key Functional Accountabilities and act as a relationship manager between the regional office and head office for the delivery of reporting and project requirements. The team would also be tasked with execution of reporting for the region as well as accountable for managing issues and initiatives relating to risk and control that impacts the Singapore office.

Some accountabilities would include:

  • Generate local reporting such as daily preliminary Profit and Loss (P&L) Statements for all Singapore businesses such as Global Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Metals as well as produce Market Risk Dashboards

  • Monitor and provide oversight & challenge for the risk management activities outsourced to CMRM teams in TD affiliates and TD Head office

  • Liaise with local sales and trading teams to help support CMRM enquiries and help obtain signoff from regional teams where required.

  • Complete in-depth analysis, assessment and investigation of P&L, P&L Attribution and Market Risk decomposition and assist with coverage on processes for Market and Credit risk as needed

  • Individual will be assigned to participate in various initiatives such as products, system upgrades, regulatory or audit asks and ad hoc requests that impact the Singapore region and CMRM. This applies to initiatives governed by head office as well as initiatives originating in Singapore.

Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of capital market experience.

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree from a reputable University (preferably in a quantitative discipline)

  • Knowledge of financial instruments, regulations and market risk metrics, gained through academic study, or practical experience

  • An independent and critical thinker, who can learn and adapt quickly, while taking initiative to capitalize on opportunities, or minimize problems

  • Strong communication (written & verbal) and inter-personal skills to facilitate working with colleagues at all levels of the Organization

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

  • Proactive and highly motivated individual, who enjoys process improvements and is willing to take and manage initiatives

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Programming skillsets such as VBA, Python, SQL knowledge is an asset
